An Evening With Kevin Smith 2: Evening Harder
August 2006... I want it. I will have it!
I was there... both times... almost got hit with a Timbit that Mewes threw into the crowd. It was AWESOME!
That is all.

To be honest, everytime I saw Ken Leung (Kid Omega) on screen, I just kept thinking to myself, JUNTAO! Sure, he wasn't actually Juntao in Rush Hour, but he was called that once or twice in that movie.
Alright, enough with that. On to the rest of the movie.
My opinion, the movie was okay for Hollywood standards. As a comic fan, that was just wrong on so many levels.
This will contain some spoilers, so those will be in black text. Just highlight empty areas. I'm gonna go through this in no particular order.
The Love Triangle between Bobby Drake (Iceman), Rogue, and Kitty Pride. Didn't live up to the hype. Like three or four scenes in the entire movie. Oh, on that Iceman note, he ices up.
The use of Colossus. FASTBALL SPECIAL!!! Twice. Liked the way they showed his strength, by carrying a 27"-32" TV with one arm.
The use of Multiple Man. For storyline purposes, they used him well. Sucks that they didn't use him more. I guess they just can't fit much screen time for everyone.
The use of Angel. Umm... Thanks for showing up. Waste of money and screen time. Wish they used Nightcrawler instead.
The use of Beast. They used him well. Great to see Frasier going around, fighting baddies.
The deaths in the movie. Just seemed wrong to see main characters die. Well, disappear. Possible way for them to come back, I guess.
The cure. Something from Joss Whedon's "Gifted" arc on Astonishing X-Men. Dr. Kavita Rao was used for this movie. Well, the cure wasn't given to Dr. Kavita Rao from Ord, like in the comics. Instead, they used Leech. I guess that works. However, the X-Men would never use the cure to stop anyone. I'll let you figure that one out. Didn't enjoy seeing the mutants that loss their powers, lose their powers.
"I'm the Juggernaut, BITCH!". Quite a pointless line, but they gotta let Vinnie Jones swear at least once. It just wouldn't be right, without him swearing. They would ruin his reputation. At least, that's my opinion.
As I said, it was okay, for Hollywood standards. I did enjoy this as a movie. I didn't like how they just combined and changed the stories that was taken from the comics, but I knew that was going to happen (it happens with almost all comic book movies). I did think that this movie was going to be a bad watch, prior to watching it, but I wasn't too disappointed.
I wonder what the DVD will contain?
