Spent the morning/afternoon at the Hobbystar Marketing Toronto ComicCON. Special guests were Udon. I decided to just look for books. Nothing wrong with the Udon crew, I really was just looking for books to buy. I did pick up quite a few.
Birds of Prey #76 - First appearance of Black Alice. Originally, I bought this for my bro, only because I didn't think he had a copy. But he did, so I kept it. For $2, not bad.
The Flash #164 - First Geoff Johns issue of The Flash.
The Flash #197 - First appearance of Zoom.
Impulse #50 - First appearance of Inertia (somewhere in that issue). Can someone tell me if it's the guy in the cloak at the end, or one of the hostages?
JLA #50 - One of those collabo issues. Bryan Hitch, Phil Jimenez, Doug Mahnke, Ty Templeton. No real reason why I picked it up.
Justice League #1 - First appearance of the now dead Max Lord.
The Spirit #1 - I already have this, but in very good condition, so I never opened it. This is my reading copy of the issue.
Wonder Woman #300 - Not sure why I got this.
Wonder Woman #166 - Wonder Woman/Batman cover by Adam Hughes.
Wonder Woman #167 - Wonder Woman/Titans cover by Adam Hughes.
Planetary #2 - For a buck.
Amazing Spider-Man #328 - Spidey vs. Hulk issue, by McFarlane.
Marvel Team-Up #100 - Frank Miller issue.
Uncanny X-Men #218 - First X-Men work by Marc Silvestri. Don't really know why I got it.
Casanova #1 - Hearing good things about this book, so I grabbed issue #1.
Noble Causes: Family Secrets #3 - First appearance of Robert Kirkman's Invincible. I'm quite surprised I found it. Cover price too.
Usagi Yojimbo #100 - I'm glad I found this, because I really want it. I'm now looking for a second copy.
Oni Press Color Special 2001 - I didn't know why I got this at first, but I opened it up, and was glad I picked it up. Just the names involved. Brian Michael Bendis, Greg Rucka, Michael Avon Oeming, Mike and Laura Allred, Phil Hester, Gail Simone, Lea Hernandez, J. Torres, J. Bone, Chynna Clugston, Jen Van Meter, Tom Fowler, Arthur Dela Cruz, Christine Norrie, Stan Sakai, and many others.
After the game, I watched the Super Bowl. The start of the game had me really happy. Bears had an opening drive touchdown. Then intercepted Peyton Manning's first throw of the game.... then it fell apart for the Bears after that. Quite disappointed that the Bears didn't win, even though I expected it.
Oh well, I'm not a football fan to begin with. It's all about Hockey for me.
